First off, I have absolutely no hard feelings with anyone, I just started to become overwhelmed with who needs to know about what's going on in my generally mundane life. I've noticed a lot of people have added me for cosplay-only reasons and I really am thankful that you guys are interested in my costumes and whatnot, but I've been slowly backing away from the hobby. I'm not giving up on it, but I'm not going to be cosplaying or going to cons as often as I have been in the past. I've reopened my cosplay journal: sonicosplay. Please feel free to add that for cosplay updates as well as where I'll be next. Thank you everyone for your understanding. I was asked to be a performance judge & I have no idea which one of my costumes I want to wear. I had thought about just dragging Maria Renard out again, but I dunno if I really want to rewear that costume. It's become my 'go to' costume whenever I make last minute con plans, but it is one of my favourites still. I had also thought of rewearing my white CLAMP Lelouch. Celes is a definite no. objection, I don't wanna HAVE THIS SONG IN MY HEAD [November 8th 2009, 2:21am] kasaiface [ mood | completely exhausted ] [ music | oh god so sad I have Shakira in my head ] For as much as I complained about the hours and effort last night, the fifteen hours I spent in the theater today felt like some of the most productive I've had all year, even though as far as a running crew goes, we have very few responsibilities which is admittedly frustrating to me because I like feeling useful. The guy who usually runs the follow spotlight was off tonight doing another show so I volunteered to learn right quick and had a pretty awesome time up in the grid by myself. It was exhilarating to try something in the theater I'd never done before, especially when it involves being suspended precariously like a fifty feet above the theater. I have no idea if fifty feet is a reasonable approximation but it's really high up. I only got to do it for one scene and only for tonight, but it was still really cool to learn. The other three people on my deck crew consist of one girl who clearly has no interest in being there (I am so glad she's assigned to stage left and I'm on stage right because I might have to punch her in the mouth if I had to deal with her apathy too often), an unexcited boy I've heard maybe five words for, and a rather annoying kid who has Christina Aguilera as his desktop background and insists on singing along poorly to the Shakira song that opens the show every time. I suppose I'd prefer to have him on SR with me over the other two because he's at least involved enough in theater to have interest in what he's doing (he's an actor) but he's also kind of dumb. I am a little mean idk. But I really, really like both our assistant stage managers and I think they like me too. The cast is actually also pretty wonderful, and I hope to continue to be friends with them and bridge the sometimes-challenging tech-actor gap. Basically I realized today, after having not worked in a theater since high school, that I do really fucking love it and I made the right decision with my major. It feels so good to finally have a direction, at least for the next couple of years. So yeah. I came home to Ame having cleaned the apartment, cleaned the rat cage, done the dishes, done the laundry, taken the garbage out AND packed me a goddamn bento lunch for tomorrow, when I have another 15 hour day. She is absolutely incredible and I don't know what I did to deserve a girl this amazing. She is just kslgjlkgjdgjr the absolute best and I am so unspeakably lucky. ♥ Also Allie and her lady Laura came over for a bit since they were in NoHo for the weekend! I had hoped to see more of them but lol, my weekend schedule. Max came over too and then Allie took pictures of me and Ame farting around for a photo project of hers. And then we took ridiculous pictures with giant googly eyes and it was wonderful. And now Max is asleep on our pull-out again and Ame's conked out next to me aaand I am going to sleep now too because I have to get up early again tomorrow morning, hooray! ok ilu guys goodnight ♥ PS sorry for typos and poor grammar I am so exhausted and not proofreading the end. edit as a conclusion to my evening I just learned that a girl from my high school who Allie and I somewhat recently found to also be a lebbie just followed me on twitter.
